The Level One Olympic-Style Boxing Certification will give you all the tools you need to begin using boxing as a modality to take your personal training offerings to the next level. Boxing has been deemed one of the most demanding sports in the world, according to an ESPN study, due to how much endurance, speed, power, and agility is required. Austin Women’s Boxing Club makes the impossible seem easy with seasoned instructors, clear and useful instruction, and lots of hands-on practice.

NASM CEU Workshop

What's Included in Workshop?

In this two day long workshop, you will not only learn all of the basic punches, footwork, and defense, you will also learn how to best explain, demonstrate, and put these principles into practice with your own clients.

The Level One Olympic-Style Boxing Certification is an NASM-certified CEU course worth 1.4 units. The two day long workshop will cover the following:

  • Safety
  • Training Philosophies
  • Equipment
  • Boxing Warm Ups
  • Boxing Stances and Footwork
  • Basic Punches
  • Head Movement
  • Shadowboxing
  • Mitts and Games

Paired with extensive mitt-work training, the trainer will feel empowered to teach The Sweet Science to their clients using proper and authentic techniques.

The two day long workshop costs $730 and includes a pair of 180” hand wraps, 10oz leather gloves, basic focus mitts, and training materials that you can take home with you.

Q: Can men take this course at Austin Women’s Boxing Club?

Yes, this course is open to personal trainers of all genders.

Do I have to be a certified personal trainer to take this course?

No, you do not have to be a certified personal trainer to take this course, though the content will be geared toward trainers and group fitness instructors.

Q: Do I need to know how to box prior to attending the workshop?

It is not required to know how to box prior to the workshop, but any prior experience is helpful!

Q: How do I sign up for this workshop?

Q: What should I bring and wear to the workshop?

Please bring lots of water, wear workout gear, and lunch for the day.

Q: What areas do you serve?

Participants from anywhere in the United States are welcome to come to this workshop. We are located in central Texas, which is close to San Antonio, Waco, Bastrop, and more.

Q: What does it take to pass the course?

You will be required to attend the entirety of the workshop, demonstrate understanding of the punches, stances, and head movement. You will also be asked to re-teach skills learned to your peers, and demonstrate that you can hold focus mitts properly.

Q: I need to cancel, do I get a refund?

We do not offer refunds for attendees who do not show up to their workshop or request the refund less than 7 days prior to the event. In the event that we need to cancel the workshop for any reason, we will provide a refund.
