Beginner Boxing Workshop

Our signature Beginner Boxing Workshops are the perfect place for the new boxer to start. This is a one-time workshop we hold several times each month and was developed for women who want to learn real boxing techniques in a safe and supportive environment amongst other beginners like them. This workshop is appropriate for women and girls ages 8 and up. No experience or equipment is required. Just bring a water bottle and be ready to have fun!

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • Basic boxing stance, footwork, and movement
  • Core punches including jab, cross, hook, and uppercut
  • How to hit the heavy bag, speed bag, and double end bag
  • Foundational boxing drills and combinations
  • Proper technique taught by USA Boxing–certified coaches

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR WORKSHOP

1. Get set up

  • You’ll be welcomed by our coaches and staff
  • We’ll wrap your hands and introduce you to the facility
  • Loaner gloves and wraps are provided

2. Learn the basics

  • Dynamic warm-up to get the body ready for exercise
  • Step-by-step instruction on punches, movement, and form through shadowboxing
  • Small group stations including the speedbag, heavy bag, and mittwork
  • Individual feedback from coaches throughout

3. Wrap it up

  • Time for questions about classes, training paths, and memberships
  • Guidance on what to take next if you want to keep boxing
