Our Beginner Boxing Workshop is the best place to start if you’re new to boxing. This one-time workshop is designed for women and girls who want to learn real boxing fundamentals in a safe, supportive environment alongside other beginners.
Led by our experienced female coaches, the workshop introduces the core skills of boxing step-by-step so you can build confidence and learn proper technique from the start.
Participants learn foundational boxing skills including stance, footwork, and movement, along with the core punches: jab, cross, hook, and uppercut. You’ll also learn how to use common boxing equipment like the heavy bag, speed bag, and double-end bag while practicing basic drills and combinations.
The workshop begins with a dynamic warm-up followed by clear, structured instruction. Coaches guide athletes through shadowboxing, skill drills, and small training stations while providing individual feedback and support throughout the session. At the end of the workshop, there’s time to ask questions about boxing, training paths, and what classes might be a good next step if you’d like to continue. Our coaches are happy to help guide you toward the best way to keep progressing in your training.
No experience or equipment is required. Loaner gloves and hand wraps are provided, and our staff will help you get set up when you arrive. Please arrive about 15 minutes prior to class start.
Beginner Boxing Workshops are offered several times each month and are open to women and girls ages 8 and up.
Just bring a water bottle and a willingness to learn—we’ll take care of the rest.
