In 75 minutes, you'll learn to throw a real jab, cross, hook, and uppercut (with the footwork underneath them) from coaches who box. This is a one-time workshop for women and girls new to the sport, built to teach you how boxing actually works, not a cardio class with gloves on.
Every coach here has put in hundreds, if not thousands, of hours into boxing. They'll take you through the fundamentals step by step, correct your form in real time, and make sure you leave knowing how to hit properly.
Participants learn foundational boxing skills including stance, footwork, and movement, along with the core punches: jab, cross, hook, and uppercut. You’ll also learn how to use common boxing equipment like the heavy bag, speed bag, and double-end bag while practicing basic drills and combinations.
The workshop begins with a dynamic warm-up followed by clear, structured instruction. Coaches guide athletes through shadowboxing, skill drills, and small training stations while providing individual feedback and support throughout the session. At the end of the workshop, there’s time to ask questions about boxing, training paths, and what classes might be a good next step if you’d like to continue. Our coaches are happy to help guide you toward the best way to keep progressing in your training.
Bring a water bottle. Loaner gloves and wraps are here, and staff will get you set up when you arrive. Arrive 15 minutes early.
