Intermediate Boxing is a focused boxing class designed for members who want to get comfortable with contact work and sharpen their defensive skills in a highly controlled, technical training environment. If you're excited about learning how to defend yourself while improving your boxing fundamentals, this class will help you build confidence and precision.

In this class, boxers practice structured drills that develop comfort with controlled contact while reinforcing proper boxing technique. The goal is to build strong muscle memory, improve reaction time, and reduce the risk of injury by learning how to safely manage punches and defensive exchanges. These drills help bridge the gap between technique learned in all-levels boxing classes and applying those skills in a realistic boxing scenario.

Participants will work on essential defensive boxing techniques such as catching punches, parrying, blocking, and slipping shots. These skills are combined with head movement, footwork, and timing drills to create effective single-punch defensive responses. By practicing these movements repeatedly, boxers improve their coordination, balance, and overall boxing fitness while learning how to stay composed under pressure.

This class is ideal for members looking to deepen their boxing training, refine their defensive strategy, and gain confidence using real boxing skills in a controlled setting.

Requirements: This is a members-only boxing class. Participants must hold a current USA Boxing Athlete Membership, have a properly fitted and molded mouthpiece, and be at least a Yellow Band in the AWBC ranking system. Please contact an instructor for additional details or guidance on eligibility.
