Youth Boxing is a fun, structured, and technique-focused boxing class for athletes ages 8 to 17. The class follows the same foundational structure as our All Levels Boxing classes, with age-appropriate instruction and additional games built in to keep younger athletes engaged, active, and excited about learning. All youth classes are combined for ages 8–17, with a dedicated Sunday class for ages 12–17 that offers additional training opportunities for older youth athletes.
In this class, youth boxers learn real boxing fundamentals including stance, footwork, punch technique, coordination, balance, and movement in a supportive, non-contact training environment. Sessions focus on developing proper boxing technique while also building athleticism, discipline, and confidence. Every class is designed to keep athletes moving, learning, and having fun while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and skill development. Coaches provide clear instruction, hands-on guidance, and positive encouragement so each athlete can develop their skills at their own pace.
Although classes include athletes across the full 8–17 age range, coaches intentionally organize participants into smaller training groups throughout the class based on age, size, and skill level depending on the drill or activity. This structure ensures that every athlete trains in an appropriate and supportive setting while still benefiting from the energy, teamwork, and community of a mixed-age class.
As youth athletes gain experience and confidence, there are opportunities to progress within the program. Youth boxers who meet the requirements may begin attending Intermediate and Advanced Boxing classes. Athletes ages 14–15 may also participate in Strength classes with instructor permission, while athletes ages 16–17 are automatically eligible, supporting continued athletic development as skills, maturity, and readiness grow.
