Welcome to Austin Women’s Boxing Club, where fierce confidence meets empowering strength. Our studio specializes in providing a unique fitness experience tailored to women who are ready to unleash their inner warrior. With a focus on boxing, we offer expert guidance to help you master the art of the sport while achieving your fitness goals. Our team is dedicated to empowering every member to push boundaries and exceed limitations through our specialized Studio programs. At Austin Women’s Boxing Club, our passionate trainers and staff form the beating heart of our community, committed to supporting and uplifting all individuals who walk through our doors.

OUR MISSION:

Austin Women’s Boxing Club exists to teach real boxing in a safe, women-centered environment where athletes of all levels can build strength, general fitness, confidence, and boxing skill. AWBC prioritizes proper technique, long-term development, and community-building. The mission is to empower women through boxing by creating a space built for them.

Austin Women’s Boxing Club is more than just a gym; it’s a hub of community connection and empowerment. We actively engage in local initiatives and partnerships that promote holistic health and wellness. Through impactful events and collaborations, we strive to create a space where members can not only improve their physical fitness but also build meaningful relationships and support networks. Our commitment extends beyond the walls of our studio as we work to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in Austin and beyond.

I started Austin Women’s Boxing Club in September 2007 to give women the opportunity to learn boxing in an all-women environment; I wish this gym was around when I was a competitive amateur boxer. As a female in a male-dominated sport, it has become my mission to bring more gender equity to the sport for the athletes as well as the coaches but also make boxing more accessible to the average woman.

At my gym, women build real boxing skills, confidence, and community. We pride ourselves on being the first and only all-women’s boxing gym in Austin. Our USA Boxing Certified coaches teach beginners that have never put on boxing gloves as well as boxers competing at the national level.

It’s for women who want to learn real boxing (not the watered-down version you find in boxing franchises & chains) but want to learn in a respectful, safe, and clean environment. The hardest part about starting your boxing journey will be to walk through those gym doors for your first class but once you’re in, you are going to love it!

Our Coaching Philosophy:

Everything we do in boxing is built on progressions. We use the Crawl, Walk, Run, Sprint principle to training. We start slow and once the skill is refined we speed it up. We start with simple movements, and once they are mastered, we make it more complex. We start with doing everything solo, and once the skill is mastered, we add the element of “pressure” by training the skill with a partner. The partner work could be mittwork in an All-Levels class or in defensive drills in an Intermediate class, for example.
