How did you get involved with AWBC?

I found AWBC in 2023 when I was 7 months postpartum. Pregnancy and early parenthood left me in relatively rough shape and there were many parts of my body and my life that did not fully feel like my own during that time. Boxing helped me reclaimed them. I came for ferocious, hyper-efficient workouts, and I found them, along with so much more.

What’s your favorite part about being a member?

The outrageously cool community, the mega-capable coaches, the continuous opportunity to best myself, the promise of a pull-up.

What’s your favorite punch or combo?

1-1-2 high, low, forward, backward.

What do you do outside of boxing? Are you a student? Do you work?

So much! I work in the food and hospitality industry which is often ridiculous and I do adore. I like to think of my life and work in terms of nourishment.

Any hobbies or passion projects?

My favorite passion project is keeping my three-year-old alive. I also read voraciously, cook somewhat skillfully, and casually practice qigong as a complete and permanent novice.

How has AWBC changed your life?

Oof, what a question. I'm so strong! I've gained connection, community, a sense of my own capability, mental fortitude, confidence and humility in equal doses, inner coherence.
